What I did was take the burgundy, red and black hair and rolled them on the curling rods and let them dry. Then, I did a cap weave. That's actually a quick weave on her head. So, I started in the back and placed the red going up, favoring one side. I used about a 1/4 pack of red, and then I used a 1/4pack of burgundy. I continued to bond [the burgundy] in the back, still favoring one side. Once I ran out of the burgundy, I filled in the top with #1B. I used a full pack of #1B. The perimeter of her hair in the front is her real hair. I used a small ceramic iron and curled her natural hair with a small 1/2" flat iron, blending the hair line with the commercial hair. Then I did some back-combing for volume and height. I used holding spray and a blow dryer to freeze the style in place.
*screaming* I am extremely excited. I'm honored. I have stars and hearts and flowers bursting out of me right now. I don't even know if there are words... I'm so excited....really. I'm happy. I had my fingers crossed. I was waiting all day, and I was not giving up hope. I kept looking at the clock.....I was sitting up here holding out. Every time my phone rang, I looked at [it.] Most of everything I do I do for the love of it-and not really to compete. I'm excited. This made my year right here! |
